schmischmoelz This one has a connection to country music, but in a very weird way. Sounds like from far away, but always full of energy. One of the album you take with you when you visit David Lynchs dark lodge...

about

For the last six years Ghost Town Trio has been remodelling commercial pop hits, taking million dollar songs from the charts into the land of improvisation and new interpretations. Two records have established them as one of the most exciting jazz trios on the European scene.

In 2016 the trio became a quartet, with the addition of singer and experimental electro-musician Joana Aderi (i.a. Phall Fatale).
Under the shortened name GHOST TOWN, they will soon release their latest record "No Depression in Heaven“. There will be murder ballads, love songs, sea shanties and songs from the Great Depression - music that was the genesis of the American blues and country music from 1920 to 1940.
American roots will get the European GHOST TOWN treatment, improvised and fresh, with fat grooves and with a shot of black humor.
